Insects: Recrafted adds a broad range of insects to Minecraft, mostly for ambience, with some offering distinctive interactions, drops, or combat behavior. The roster includes ants, fire ants, honey ants, cockroaches, dragonflies, fireflies, flies, green flies, ladybugs, maggots, moths, snails, worms, centipedes, praying mantises, orchid mantises, rain bugs, butterflies, earwigs, turtle ants, beetles, stick bugs, scorpions, mosquitoes, pill bugs, bed bugs, silk worms, water striders, whip spiders, slugs, and Antarctic midges. They appear in different environments, from grass-covered biomes and forests to rivers, swamps, deserts, dark places, and freezing biomes; some also have specific arrival conditions, such as maggots spawning when zombies die or bed bugs emerging when beds are broken. Several insects react to nearby players or attacks: cockroaches flee, fire ants and mantises retaliate when hurt, centipedes and scorpions can poison attackers, and pill bugs curl up temporarily when attacked. Some insects can change form: maggots can become flies when fed rotten flesh, silk worms can become moths under the same treatment, and a slug turns into a snail when given a snail shell. Other useful interactions include catching the differently colored butterflies with a Butterfly Catcher, taming beetles with dead worms so they defend you, and using a snail’s shell or a rain bug’s plate in brewing. The mod also adds insect-related drops and equipment, including a scorpion sting that poisons enemies and can be used to craft a poisonous sword, while a stick bug can give up the Get Stickbugged music disc when used with a music-playing item.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 3 blocks, 55 items, 39 mobs, 1 enchantment, 10 recipes, 3 advancements and 1 sound.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
