Hexxit Revived is an unofficial modern remake of the original Hexxit, built around nostalgic survival, adventure, and exploration while retaining a familiar Minecraft feel. Its world combines pre-1.7-style generation and retro textures, lighting, sounds, and other restored gameplay touches with modern features; these nostalgic elements can be disabled through the pack’s configuration. Exploration is the central focus: the pack adds dozens of customized biomes and hundreds of structures, including content from Battle Towers, Dungeon Crawl, Doomlike Dungeons, Philip’s Ruins, and Structures of Eternia. New wildlife and enemies make the world more varied, with examples including Epic Hunt, Mo’ Creatures Nostalgia Edition, Exotic Birds, and Enemy Expansion. Enemies also gain scaling attributes, hostility levels, and enhanced AI, so stronger characters face stronger opposition. The adventure extends underground through new ores, cave biomes, and cave features alongside modern cave systems, and into two additional dimensions: the Twilight Forest and Aerial Hell. Combat and treasure hunting are complemented by an RPG leveling system that lets players spend experience levels to improve skills, plus equipment and weapons such as Hexxit Gear, Tinkers’ Construct, and L2 Archery. Magic, caving, fishing, and farming provide further activities within the pack’s exploration-led survival experience. Its retro presentation is reflected in carefully shaped landscapes, with distinct regions such as Flower Fields, Mauve Hills, Willow Forests, and Blackwood Forest, as well as varied terrain, vegetation, and ocean features.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 21 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 19 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 156 of its 163 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 124 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
39 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
