JEI++ is a client-side addon that improves browsing and planning in JEI without adding blocks, items, recipes, or other gameplay content. Clicking a recipe ingredient slot with multiple candidates opens a paged directory for exploring candidate items, their recipes and uses, and associated tags; mouse-wheel navigation also switches recipe pages and categories. Its recipe tree lays out ingredients, intermediate products, and outputs as connected, expandable nodes, with controls to pan, zoom, replace recipes, choose outputs, and lock or unlock specific ingredient candidates. The crafting assistant can plan target quantities, show total material costs and leftovers, and distinguish missing base materials from intermediate products; it also accounts for by-products and protects against recipe cycles. Tree bookmarks keep final products, intermediate products, and base materials visible with quantities refreshed from the current inventory, even when some materials are already owned; ordinary clicks transfer the current step, while the configured recursive action can transfer only missing steps. Fluids remain fluids in trees and bookmarks, with support for fluid inputs and outputs, compatible containers, and fluid quantities from supported storage networks. Optional integrations with AE2, Refined Storage, Beyond Dimensions, and Integrated Dynamics or Integrated Terminals let network items and fluids contribute to recipe planning, inventory counts, highlighting, and transfers; with JEI++ also installed on the server, the recipe tree can create AE2 patterns from leaves toward the final product. The addon also provides a navigable creative-tab bar and collapsible item groups, including families such as wool, planks, logs, tools, ores, and plants, as well as groups for NBT or component variants like potions and enchanted books. Users can configure built-in groups individually and define custom groups from item IDs, tags, or regular expressions.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: User interfaceChanges 2 game code files in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code and text
The author declares AI code and text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
