MiddleEarth Tweaks is a configurable quality-of-life and content addon for Mevans’ The Lord of the Rings Mod, expanding its building options and improving its NPC, hired-unit, mount, and conquest systems. For building, it adds vertical slabs and wool, bark, and beam slabs, plus wool and bark stairs and bark walls; the vertical slabs use ordinary slab items and can be aligned to the player's facing. Players can customize mount speeds, see health bars and attribute information, and use advanced guard controls, including a horn for applying guard settings; guards can also be managed through an overview that supports mass assignment and inventory management. Hired troops can receive upgradeable ranged weapons, use a wider range of weapons such as plates, spears, and termites, and be transferred between players; a tracker helps prevent losing units during travel. The addon improves ranged combat and NPC behavior with better ranged AI, random weapon enchantments, and configurable handling of projectiles between allied NPCs; it also adds a Half-Troll stone-thrower unit and an optional alignment area. Conquest tools include /conquestdecay to control or disable conquest decrease, an option for hired units to conquer for their own faction, and optional AI conquest in which NPCs conquer on their own. Other practical changes include faster consumption of low-saturation foods such as berries, stackable draught effects and larger stew and draught stacks, improved fast travel, and fixes for mounted NPCs getting lost or suffocating inside blocks. Many features can be disabled or adjusted, including the added blocks, mount speeds, and conquest behavior, so players can tailor the addon to their setup.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

In the last 2 years, 4 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 1 point.
