Mega's Arms adds 27 historical weapons, including swords, polearms, daggers, maces and axes, with examples such as the katana, rapier, longsword, morningstar, war hammer, halberd, yari and pike. Weapons are made from wood, copper, gold, iron, steel or netherite at tiered workbench, forge and nether-forge stations; metal weapons require smithing through a forging minigame. In the minigame, players heat a physics-based ingot, move it between furnace and anvil to hammer it with precise timing, reheat it as it cools, then quench it in water to finish the weapon. Combat adds weapon-specific blocking and parrying, bleeding, armor penetration, extended reach and two-handed wielding penalties, while some polearms deal reduced damage at close range. Steel is a new material between iron and diamond, made by smelting a steel charge in a blast furnace, and can also be used for armor and tools. Smithing hammers come in multiple material tiers, are required for forging weapons, and can also mine like pickaxes and interact with blocks, such as crushing cobblestone into gravel. Some zombies, skeletons and other mobs can spawn with the mod's weapons and additional armor, including steel armor. Leather-handled weapons can be dyed in a wide range of colors, with the dye removable using a water-filled cauldron. The mod's mechanics, weapon stats, forging process and mob equipment are configurable, and it is compatible with Better Combat, Better Mob Combat, JEI and Epic Fight.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 4 blocks, 186 items, 421 recipes and 52 advancements.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
