About
Minecraft Animated is an animation framework for mod developers to create custom, animated mobs and bring their models and animations into the game. Its workflow uses models and animations authored in Blender or another suitable tool, then exported as separate mesh, skeleton, and animation assets for developers to load and connect to their entities. Developers can choose animations at runtime and control their playback frame, including smooth transitions between keyframes, so an entity can switch animations as needed. A distinctive option is to let resource packs replace an entire mob model and its animations, rather than only its textures, so players can customize the experience.
