Psychological horror: a mob that copies players, repeats their speech, and attacks when approached.

Minesis is a multiplayer psychological-horror mod built around an impostor entity that undermines trust by copying a connected player’s appearance and name. It watches from a distance rather than blending directly into player groups, then reveals its hostile form when it approaches a target. The entity can imitate phrases it has heard from players, with Simple Voice Chat providing the voice samples and enabling that speech behavior. Its stalking and hunting behavior can include following players, opening doors, breaking blocks to reach a target, and building to reach inaccessible ores. Minesis is restricted to the surface, with only one entity allowed in a world at a time and a ten-minute cooldown between spawn attempts. The mod also supports Xaero’s Minimap, where the entity can appear as a white dot like a player.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 1 item, 1 entity and 6 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 3 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its sound
Suno is named in the sound files in its files.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
