River Fishing turns fishing into a full gameplay activity across rivers, lakes, ice and the sea, with 267 fish species whose diets and behavior depend on conditions such as habitat, season and weather. Players assemble rods from blanks, reels, lines and rigs, choose bait and hooks for a target fish, and mix groundbait; the bite system uses the setup and conditions to determine what takes and how long a bite takes. Its fishing styles include float fishing, lure spinning, long-cast bottom fishing, ice fishing, sea fishing and boat trolling, alongside fly fishing built around casting and controlling a physical line. Fly lines have weight, slack, tension and buoyancy, respond to river current and the bottom, and support techniques such as false casting, shooting, mending and stripping. Fights require reading the fish’s direction from the rod, managing stamina and line tension, and choosing when to pull or ease off; the rod bends toward the fish, while the line and fish remain visible during the fight. Fish can be seen underwater, where their appearance and movement provide clues rather than labels, and they may spook if they notice an angler’s movement or shadow. The world responds to fishing pressure: heavily fished species become less common in an area and recover over time, while private ponds keep their own stocking records. Players can progress through angler ranks, perks, quests and advancements, consult an illustrated journal with species information and guides, and keep catches in a space-based keepnet. Additional activities include tying custom flies on a canvas, cooking fish while retaining catch information, and managing named private ponds of up to 100 by 100 blocks of water.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
