ShieldGrid adds configurable, modular energy-shield networks for protecting bases, machines, ships, and moving contraptions from outside threats. A network is assembled from functional blocks: its controller manages settings, permissions, upgrades, color, and shape, while a shield module and stabilizer are required for operation; generators burn fuel such as coal, wood, blaze rods, or lava buckets, and batteries store extra energy. Range extenders expand the protected area, relays link separate networks while transferring energy with some loss, and shield radars can temporarily disable nearby shields. Shields can block, bounce, or reduce arrows, tridents, potions, ender pearls, ghast fireballs, thrown objects, TNT and creeper explosions, mobs, players, and, with Create Big Cannons compatibility, cannon projectiles. Blocking threats consumes energy; after a period without damage, shields regenerate, while an empty shield shuts down temporarily before recovering. GUI-installed upgrades can extend shield range, improve regeneration, reduce incoming damage and radar interference, and add emergency protection; radar upgrades can increase range, shorten cooldowns, extend disruption, and affect shield recovery after disruption. Players can customize shield color and entry permissions, designate trusted players, review a damage log, and use a spyglass overlay for shield information; visual impacts, sounds, energy-based states, and redstone control round out the system. Optional Create Aeronautics / Sable compatibility lets shields work on supported physics-based contraptions, with Ship Shape mode allowing a shield to follow a ship's outline rather than a simple box; Create Big Cannons compatibility makes cannon projectiles interact with shields. Directional shields use a controller and projector to form a one-sided wall that blocks projectiles in either direction and can be switched with redstone.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
