About
SmartHoppers adds specialized hoppers for building automated item-handling systems, intended to complement rather than replace ordinary hoppers and other redstone components. Its hopper types cover chest-sized storage and faster item collection, packing and unpacking items into storage blocks, filtering and sorting, disposal, recycling, recipe crafting, and utility tasks such as collecting experience or breaking blocks. For example, fatty hoppers provide at least 27 inventory slots, eager versions pull and push items faster, and the Jabba hopper offers triple the capacity of an eager fatty hopper for high-volume junctions. Packer and un-packer hoppers turn items into storage blocks and back again, with lossless unpacking that waits until there is room for all resulting items; a packaging hopper can supply binding ingredients in bulk to keep packing lines running. The mod also includes instruction cards for defining item filters, recipe combinations, or hopper commands, while colored designs and configurable control slots make smart hoppers easier to distinguish and tailor within a system. Supporting tools include a line-crafting station that connects directly to bulk storage, a deluxe crafting table that retains items between uses, hopper and slot plugs, pouches, item-locking keys and lockboxes, and XP food for storing experience to consume later.
