Sorcerous Nether expands the Nether’s magical side with new plants, blocks, items, creatures, and structures, extending familiar Nether concepts with new uses and mechanics. In basalt deltas, explosion-resistant bucklerine bushes yield shards for blast-resistant building blocks, while budding bucklerine can be planted, used as food, or crafted into a golden variant and a potion of blast resistance. Lava lakes host persimmon fungi, whose lava-immune stems and bone-mealable caps support growing more huge fungi, and lava lilies that glow, can catch colliding entities on fire, and serve as decoration, orange dye, or ingredients for potion-infused flowers. Placing an infused lava lily creates a limited-duration field that grants its potion effect to players and some friendly mobs, and picking it up pauses the effect’s timer until it is placed again. The mod also adds biotite building blocks and robust chains, along with sorcerous vessels that hold potions and automatically activate one when the bearer falls below half health. Sorcerous mist from defeated Lost can be bottled for crafting, while throwable mist flasks create clouds that inflict blindness, slowness, and wither on those caught in them. Lost Keeps, large tower-and-bridge complexes beneath the Nether roof in basalt deltas and Nether wastes, contain loot and hostile mobs; smaller Campsites across the Nether provide ruined outposts for wither wayfarers. Lost haunt the keeps and attack with wither, leaving collectible sorcerous mist when slain, while bow-wielding wither wayfarers use weakness arrows, inflict wither at close range, and drop Lost Pearls that can lead to a Lost Keep. A netherite-and-orb-crafted cursed wand fires charges that build Cursed Grasp on a target before briefly stunning it, with enchantments that extend the effect, heal the wielder, or stun nearby entities. Many behaviors can be customized through the mod’s configuration, with further options available through a config datapack.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 53 blocks, 14 items, 2 mobs, 2 projectiles, 2 other entities, 2 structures, 3 enchantments, 81 recipes, 6 advancements, 10 loot tables and 14 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
