About
Swampier Swamps enriches the swamp biome with revised terrain generation, more vegetation and decorations, swamp villages, and dragonflies in several colors and sizes. Its plant and tree additions include cattails, swamp vines that can grow into water, renewable lily pads that sink underfoot, decaying logs, and bald cypress trees that can be grown from a 2×2 arrangement of oak saplings. The mod adds 13 frog variants, with biome-based growth for tadpoles and configurable variant spawning, alongside 13 slightly bouncy frog lights and frog legs used in a revised potion recipe. Decaying kelp can be harvested or produced by submerging kelp blocks, then used to make fertile farmland that speeds crop growth; it also generates swamp gas, which forms green clouds that can be bottled, causes harmful effects, and explodes when struck by a burning projectile. Bottled swamp gas can be used to craft redstone-controlled gas lamps, and the gas can also fuel furnaces for longer than usual. Configuration lets players adjust features such as lily-pad sinking time, crop-growth settings, dragonfly size, and swamp-gas effects and explosion size.
