    Tensura: Gear Evolution extends Tensura: Reincarnated so supported equipment can earn evolution points through combat or mining and grow into stronger tiers instead of being replaced as the player progresses. Vanilla armor, swords, axes, pickaxes, shovels, hoes, bows, crossbows, and tridents can advance from materials such as leather, gold, and netherite into Tensura tiers; supported equipment can also follow vanilla-only tiers when that option is selected. Crafted Tensura weapon paths include katanas, great swords, long swords, short swords, kodachi, odachi, tachi, scythes, sickles, and spears, alongside selected gold, silver, mithril, and spider-bow paths. Combat EP is awarded to supported weapons and armor, while supported tools earn mining EP; axes can also gain EP from harvesting, and backpacks can progress through combat when held or, on NeoForge, equipped in a Curios back slot. An item's tooltip shows its evolution progress and next tier, and reaching the required EP evolves it while retaining important gear data such as names and enchantments. Optional compatibility adds progression for Traveler's Backpack and Sophisticated Backpacks, Simply Swords, Ice and Fire CE, and Sengoku Jidai equipment; supported Sophisticated Backpacks can go beyond netherite when Tensura Neo Otherworld is installed. Configuration screens let players and modpack creators adjust combat and mining EP rates, tier requirements, enabled equipment families, axe-harvesting EP, tooltips, and optional stat bonuses; additional optional systems include evolution traits, tool specializations, armor set bonuses, milestone challenges, awakening, and harder progression rules.
