About
The Ceilands adds a surreal dimension built around a bedrock ceiling and an open void instead of a bedrock floor, reached through a portal activated with a crafted Ceilands Portal Activator. Its six biomes include Snow Roof, where icicles and floating icebergs hang beneath the ceiling; Ocean Orbs, with water-filled spheres and aquatic life; Luzawood Forest, with tree-covered floating islands; upside-down Topsy Forest; mountainous Inverted Peaks; and the hot, desert-like Arid Roof. Exploration includes Ceillages, Hanging Castles and Ocean Cubes, as well as Giant Webs where Spider Monarchs and naturally spawning Cave Spiders can be found. The dimension adds Ceiltrunk and Luzawood trees, with Ceiltrunk growing from the ceiling and Luzawood from the ground, plus Ceilingneous and Roofshale stone and craftable wood and stone building materials. Its custom creatures include the Castle Lord and Spider Monarch; defeating the Spider Monarch can yield a fang used to craft a poison-inflicting Venomous Spear. The mod also provides 12 advancements, configurable recipes and portal-frame blocks, and a game rule that determines whether falling into the void returns players to the Overworld or damages them. Compatibility integrations include Boatload, Woodworks, Twilight Forest, Farmer's Delight and Dramatic Doors.
