About
The Doppelganger 2 is a creature mod built around the folklore of impostors that steal others’ appearances and imitate their behavior. It adds a Doppelganger and disguised versions of familiar creatures, including cows, pigs, chickens, wolves, spiders, and bees; other named forms include creepers, villagers, skeletons, iron golems, mooblooms, and wandering doppelgangers. Doppelgangers can appear naturally, and an imperfect one has a small chance to spawn a pure doppelganger when it dies. The mod also adds a subworld dimension containing a discoverable Doppelganger biome, along with new blocks and items, including doppel wood and trees that can attract endermen by spawning endermites. Exploration and combat are tied to secret challenges and 13 advancements, which reward shards; fragments can whisper, and an amulet can be repaired with them. A configuration option can make a selected mob always transform into a doppelganger.
