The Hybrid is a horror mod built around a stalking creature whose behavior draws on the Man from the Fog, the Midnight Lurker, and the Reimagined Cave Dweller. It can watch from a distance, trail players, approach while unseen, vanish or begin a chase when noticed, and sometimes teleport close; it can appear above or below ground and may grab a player it hits, with the possibility of an instant kill if the player has no shield ready. A Fear meter rises near the Hybrid, at night, and in dark caves without light, triggering effects such as panic attacks, random noises, hallucinations, and jumpscares; it falls in bright places or daylight, and can also be reduced by eating certain foods, fishing, or sleeping. Defeating the Hybrid yields Vile Flesh and Vile Bone for crafting, while other items include a Vile Mirror that returns the user to their spawn point, a Vile Blade that may strike mobs with lightning, a Crimson Campfire that grants nearby players regeneration, and Crimson Flame for placing Crimson Fire. Configuration options let players adjust the creature’s spawn timing and chance, disable panic attacks or jumpscare chances, and toggle chase music and a spawn sound.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 3 blocks, 15 items, 1 mob, 3 other entities, 3 recipes, 2 advancements, 1 loot table and 26 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
