A sound-hunting monster that grows stronger with every hit.

The Ravenous adds a sound-hunting horror creature and a life cycle of related monsters, turning noise, hiding, and feeding into a survival threat. The blind Ravenous investigates sounds rather than tracking players directly: loud actions such as explosions or breaking blocks can trigger a charge, quieter noises draw it to investigate, and wool, carpets, rain, and crouching can help mask or reduce detection. It can smash most blocks except obsidian and bedrock, and its roar can knock players back and stun them while extinguishing lights and damaging or draining certain nearby blocks. Each hit it takes makes it grow larger, faster, and more aggressive, while feeding it a villager or a group of animals can distract it temporarily; it may also leave Screecher eggs after feeding. Screechers appear at night, bite and retreat, and try to summon a Ravenous; if left alone, they eventually turn into Grubs that mature into hostile adults. Eggs can follow a different path when incubated beside Meat Blocks: covering at least five sides produces a Grub, and feeding it during all three growth stages yields a tameable Baby Ravenous, while missing a stage leads to a hostile adult. A Baby Ravenous can defend its owner, hunt small game, and switch between Follow and Patrol behavior; it can also disenchant enchanted gear or recycle ordinary items for some of their crafting materials. The Anti-Ravenous can stun an adult for about seven seconds, and echolocation organs dropped by Screechers or the Ravenous provide its charges. The mod also supports scanning through its Bio-Scanner integration, which can inspect creatures and life-cycle progress, as well as growth information for 174 plant and block types.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
