The Vegan Option makes a vegan playstyle viable in Minecraft by providing alternatives to mob and animal products, without adding new crops or changing world generation. Its substitutes include seitan for meat, plant milk for food milk, soap as a curative, burlap for leather and leather armor, kapok for wool, faux feathers, and plant-based replacements for eggs in baking, ink sacs, slimeballs, honeycomb, and other drops. Some mob drops do not yet have alternatives, including eggs as food, rabbit feet, goat horns, phantom membranes, nautilus shells, shulker shells, prismarine shards, Nether Stars, and dragon eggs. The alternatives draw on familiar materials and hands-on survival processes: bones can rarely be found by mining stone, jute comes from large ferns and is retted into fiber, and kapok tufts can be harvested from jungle leaves. Composting turns green materials into rotten plants or, with brown materials, into compost that improves nearby farmland; under suitable conditions compost can grow false morels, which substitute for spider eyes and can be fermented into a replacement for fermented spider eyes. Other distinctive methods include crushing potatoes with a piston for starch, pressing sunflower seeds into vegetable oil, and tapping living birch trees for sap that can be cooked into syrup. A soap solution can be used to make bubbles that freeze in icy surroundings, and frozen bubbles combine with raw ender to make ender pearls; creating raw ender through an Ender Rift is risky by day, when nearby blocks may be consumed. The mod also gives uses to vanilla materials such as ferns, sunflowers, spruce wood, and sandstone, and supports in-game recipe and reference browsing through JEI or REI, including piston crafting and composting information.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.20.4.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.20.4.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
