Unnamed Monster brings Monster Hunter-inspired creatures and custom monsters into Minecraft, centering play on exploring to find and hunt them. Its roster ranges from pack-spawning Jagras, Girros, Velociprey, Genprey and Giaprey to larger hunts such as Great Jagras, Barroth, Anjanath, Rathalos, Zinogre and Stygian Zinogre, with monsters appearing in distinct biomes and some also found at nests with special loot. Monsters use distinct skills and stats, and some can enrage, wear breakable mud armor, or appear as albino or melanistic variants; their drops provide materials for crafting and upgrading monster-themed weapons, tools and armor. Weapons include Greatswords with critical hits, area-attacking Long Swords, off-hand Dual Blades with a passive effect and quick strike, and Lances with cooldown-based uppercut and dash attacks, alongside Sword & Shield. Named equipment includes the paralysis-inflicting Girro's Blade and Malady's Kiss, the Fireblight-causing Blazing Shotel and Anja Scimitar, and armor such as Barroth, Jade Barroth and Anja sets, each offering a distinct status-related effect. Combat also features monster-inflicted effects including Fireblight, Iceblight, Paralysis, Thunderblight and Waterblight, while special items such as potions, Antidote, Nutrients and Attack Charm provide healing or combat benefits. Tamed Felynes gather materials such as bones, Bitterbug and herbs, while Seikrets serve as mounts that can dash forward and help with exploration or hunting. Players can also encounter shopkeeper and hunter villagers, and use Scoutflies in a Bottle to locate nearby large monsters through a glow and ground particles.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 7 blocks, 131 items, 29 mobs, 10 structures, 1 enchantment, 49 recipes, 23 advancements, 19 loot tables, 59 sounds and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
