Useless Mod adds a mix of playful materials, equipment, creatures, biomes, decorative blocks, and practical machines to Minecraft. Its two materials, Useless and Super-Useless, support themed weapons, tools, armor, shields, and elytras, while the Useless Forest features its own flowers and wood, alongside Useless versions of sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, and skeletons. Other additions include wood-variant Wall Closets, faster-than-normal Useless Rails, and a painting set with buckets, brushes, paint, wool, and canvas. Coffee seeds and beans can be used with the Coffee Machine to make coffee, and the forest also provides seeds for growing Useless wheat and coffee. The technical side adds crushers for processing ores, an electric furnace, a compressor for forming ingots into plates, and machines for producing liquids or energy, including the Magma Crucible, Glowstone Generator, and Lava Generator. Players can also use configurable energy cables and fluid pipes, a Fluid Tank for storing liquids, and redstone-controlled power blocks and light switches for managing connected devices. Progression offers both a natural route through the Useless Forest and its crops and a technical route that starts with finding Useless ores, making a crusher, and generating energy from glowstone. The mod also provides recipe integrations with Mystical Agriculture, Silent Gear, Mekanism, Immersive Engineering, Create, and Thermal Expansion.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 72 blocks, 45 items, 5 mobs, 1 biome, 4 paintings, 101 recipes, 4 advancements and 6 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
