Wathe: Murder Mystery is the core mod for a murder-mystery social game, designed for use with the Last Voyage of the Harpy Express experience but able to support maps beyond trains; the mod itself does not include the Harpy Express map or the rest of that experience’s mods. In regular games, players take roles such as murderer, innocent, and vigilante, with configurable role counts and a backfire mechanic that can make an innocent who shoots another innocent shoot themselves instead. A secret round can also occur in which every player is a murderer, each unaware that the others share their role, and the objective is to be the last murderer standing. Kills can extend the round timer, subject to a five-minute cap, and players can use pistols, revolvers, Derringers, and knives; supporters can also choose cosmetic revolver and knife skins. Map effects can set a map’s atmosphere and behavior independently of the game mode: on the Harpy Express, for example, they can provide room keys and letters and set the time of day and other ambient details. For custom maps, settings can define the lobby ready area, player and spectator spawn points, play area, and the template used to reset the map between rounds. Add-ons can extend the game with custom game modes, roles, map effects, and other content through the mod’s APIs.

Replaces 6 of vanilla Minecraft's interface textures.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Uses your Minecraft login
We read its code without running it: your login goes only to Mojang's own login service, as in the game itself.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include Wathe: Murder Mystery in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 9 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
