    About

    Will’s Hedgehogs! adds tameable, foraging hedgehogs to Minecraft, along with new utility items, food, and equipment. Hedgehogs eat insects, arachnids, and sweet berries; tamed hedgehogs sometimes dig up items, and they passively harvest ripe nearby berry bushes. They drop quills for crafting, and lightning strikes can make them drop electrified quills. The Pet Brush gives tamed animals temporary beneficial effects and may yield fur from wolves or cats, quills from hedgehogs, or amethyst from Amethyst hedgehogs. Quills can be used to craft a Quilled Chestplate, which provides moderate armor and damages attackers with recoil, or can replace flint in arrow recipes; amethyst can replace flint to make spectral arrows. Glimmersight Goggles provide Night Vision II without offering armor, and Berry Muffins are a berry-based food with the same nutritional value and crafting cost as cookies. Four optional secret hedgehogs, inspired by Sonic characters, appear only when spawned using specific names and do not spawn naturally.
