A horror modpack based on the mod The Silence.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 22 graded mods, 16 are graded A or B, 5 C and 1 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
hush... Horror Modpack is a challenging horror-focused collection built around The Silence, where monsters and jump scares make exploration dangerous. Caves are pitch black, so carrying torches matters, while realistic sound effects add cave echoes and changed ambience, including new rain and thunder sounds. Camera movement has been overhauled with configurable tilting, and the pack also includes more realistic spider behavior, animated entities, and refreshed player animations. Rain has a more muted, natural-looking color, and dynamic lights let supported items and entities such as torches and lanterns emit light.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 9 Jun 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 23 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of all 18 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 17 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
