Extremely lightweight tech-focused skyblock pack.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 78 graded mods, 42 are graded A or B, 24 C and 12 D to F. Its last update came out 2.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
Light in the Sky is a lightweight, relaxed technical skyblock modpack designed to run on low-spec devices, with a deliberately limited mod list that keeps memory use below 2 GB and makes it approachable for players new to modded Minecraft. Its core content combines Ex Nihilo Sequentia for skyblock progression with Pollution of the Realms, Quark, Thermal Expansion, Refined Storage, BetterEnd, and Draconic Evolution, encouraging players to solve automation challenges with tools such as Quark Oddities’ Copper Pipes, Thermal Expansion technology, and vanilla redstone. The pack adds more than 80 custom advancements with rewards and more than 100 custom recipes, and disables Magmatic Dynamos. An optional custom game mode starts players in the BetterEnd and sets the goal of escaping to the Overworld.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 9 May 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 14 Dec 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 80 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 79 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 65 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
14 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
