Better Bats is a resource pack that gives Minecraft bats a new, pixel-consistent appearance while retaining a vanilla-like feel. Its ordinary variants include brown, black, gray, and red bats, alongside white and black vampire bats; the gallery also shows a white bat with glowing eyes and brown bats in a sleeping pose. The pack adds rare themed bats, including Pokémon-inspired Zubat, Noibat, and Swoobat, as well as crystal and skeleton bats. Some custom variants can also be triggered by giving a bat a name tag containing a supported name code, such as “Zubat,” “Vampire,” or “Pokemon.” The custom bat visuals require OptiFine or the ETF and EMF mods.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes 1 mob and entity texture (Bat) and the font.
Adds 5 mob and entity textures. In OptiFine's formats: 2 entity models, varied textures for 1 mob and 6 glowing textures.
Textures are mostly 15 by 15 pixels, up to 32 by 32.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
