About
Ancient Golems expands Minecraft with new golem mobs and bosses, structures, equipment, and items. Bosses include the Golem of the Origin, found guarding a grave in a forest and dropping a Sword Fragment used to reforge Peacebringer; the Golem of the Primordial Ice, found among the Ancient Spikes in an ice spikes biome; and the Ender Guardian, which is found at an Ender Shrine and can be summoned as a protector with its Eye. The Golem of the Molten Forge appears as an unfinished machine hanging in the Molten Forge and can be repaired with four Molten Fragments and a gold block, while the Wrought Sentinel is a boss found at the Wrought Fortress. Wrought Golems guard loot-filled carriages across the Overworld, use armor-piercing attacks and distinct abilities, and drop Wrought Steel Scrap for crafting items such as a new armor set and lightning dagger. Players can locate the Wrought Fortress through a craftable explorer map that starts a timed challenge, and defeating the Sentinel rewards the Gem of Thunder and Stormruler. Origin Scrolls found in places including Woodland Mansions, Stronghold libraries, dungeons, and Ancient Cities let players create an Origin Iron Golem using a pumpkin; the golem can carry a chest and be upgraded with Natural or Demonic Scrolls. Origin Iron Golems are powerful and effectively immortal, but damage to one is transferred to its owner; it dies with the owner, then splits into two and continues the curse until the owner dies again. Other additions include Scrap Golems in the Swarm biome and Ooze Golems, which can appear when a nearby slime or Ooze is killed; Oozes can be tamed with slime balls, ridden, sped up with a slime block, and carried in a bucket once tamed.
