Bats Galore expands Minecraft with a large roster of distinctive bats, created for a spooky-season theme, that mostly inhabit the orange Spooky Oak biome in the Overworld; some bats also appear in other dimensions or particular locations, such as Shulker Bats in End Cities. The roster includes Steve and Alex Bats, Skeleton and Wither Skeleton Bats, Player Bats, Ghost, Slime, Sculk, Pumpkin, Creeper, Witch, Evil, Experience Orb, and Shulker Bats, as well as Christmas-themed Candy Cane, Reindeer, and Elf Bats. Bats have varied behaviors: some attack with fireballs, projectiles, or potion effects, while others can summon allies, flee threats, or teleport away; the Void Bat instead sends a player to the End when clicked. Killing bats yields their distinctive edible candies, which can have either beneficial or harmful effects, and some bats also drop special cores used in the Altar of Turmoil encounter. The Spooky Oak biome adds an occasional Altar of Turmoil, where four core-bearing bats provide items to place on its four surrounding pedestals, and a separate Christmas Forest biome brings seasonal bats and a White Pine wood set.

Changes the game's code in 3 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 2 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen., Game coreChanges 1 game code file in this area: the main loop, lighting and other code the whole game uses. and Game data and resourcesChanges 1 game code file in this area: recipes, tags, advancements, language files and other game data..
A library packed inside it changes 2 more game code files:
Forge Config API Port.
Adds 37 blocks, 47 items, 23 mobs, 2 boats, 2 projectiles, 2 biomes, 1 structure, 28 recipes, 4 advancements and 19 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
