Better Deep Dark expands the ancient-city experience with new items and blocks centered on exploring the Deep Dark and fighting the Warden for rewards. The Warden guards Soul Pieces and drops rewards including its Horn, Soul Pieces, Echo Stones, and exclusive Deep Dark tools; collected materials can be used to make Dark Ingots and craft equipment. Its additions include the Slimed Warden's Horn, Warden's Horn, Soul Piece, Echo Stone and Echo Stone Block, Dark Ingot, Echo Upgrade Smithing Template, Deep Dark Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel and Hoe, and Echo Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots. The Deep Dark tools and Echo armor are presented as powerful equipment for exploration, with the tools described as especially fast and durable.
