About
Better Falling adds animated freefall, dive jumps from edges, and landing animations to make falling and landing more active parts of gameplay. During freefall, players can descend slowly for better air control or descend faster at the cost of control; the Aero Control enchantment on a chestplate improves movement and slows the fall more as its level increases. A non-sneaking jump at an edge triggers a downward pike jump, while landing after a high fall plays an animation and requires another jump to stand back up. The configuration menu can toggle features such as automatic freefall, automatic standing, falling sounds, and animations, and can adjust the descent speed needed to initiate freefall.
