Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 529 graded mods, 395 are graded A or B, 114 C and 20 D to F. Its last update came out 6 days ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Beyond Depth is a challenging exploration and survival modpack built around discovery, distinctive progression, and combat, with quests available but not central to the experience. Its world expands and reworks biomes, structures, the Nether, and the End, alongside three added dimensions: the dark, creature-filled Undergarden; the Deeper and Darker, with varied biomes and ancient structures; and the corrupted Voidscape, whose floating islands and hazardous terrain reward exploration. Combat brings more than 300 new mobs and over 35 bosses, including threats from Mowzie’s Mobs and L_Ender’s Cataclysm, as well as strengthened versions of the Wither, Ender Dragon, and Warden. Enhanced combat includes shield-based parrying, while expanded gear, pet abilities, and progression systems add further ways to prepare for danger. Enchanting offers rerolls, selectable high-quality enchantments through the Infuser, XP-based repairs and cheaper costs through the Advanced Infuser, and tools for removing specific enchantments or curses; other routes trade uncertainty for powerful enchantments and possible curses. The pack also changes familiar survival and crafting routines: copper tools are needed to mine iron, crops can be harvested by right-clicking, and hay bales cushion falls, while revised crafting tables, anvils, and enchanting tables retain items between uses. Create supports automation and building contraptions, and quality-of-life additions include Waystones for fast travel, Xaero’s Minimap, inventory improvements, and visual tweaks. Quests and multiplayer features support shared adventures, with Essential for playing with friends and FTB Teams available for group play.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 18 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 516 of its 530 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
14 mods send something about you
We read the code of 466 of its 479 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 30 of the 413 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
66 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
