Tiered chests hold more items, and upgraded furnaces smelt faster.

Better Furnaces & Chests adds upgradeable, tiered storage and smelting blocks to help players expand their organization and production as they progress. Its iron, gold, diamond, and netherite chests hold 45, 63, 81, and 99 slots respectively, with a scrollable inventory interface and animated lids; same-tier chests can also join into double chests with a shared inventory. The chest interface includes sorting by name or item count, stack merging, quick transfer and take-all actions, and real-time search. Copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite furnaces smelt at 1.25×, 2×, 3×, 4×, and 8× normal speed, and emit light and particles while active. Upgrade kits let players improve an existing chest or furnace without losing its contents or properties, while preserving details such as orientation and custom names. Gold-, diamond-, and netherite-tier chests support input and output filters that control what hoppers and machines can insert or extract, using ghost slots to set rules without consuming the displayed items. The mod’s settings can be customized, including smelting speeds, chest capacity, block hardness, tool requirements, and furnace output behavior.

Changes the game's code in 1 area: Inventory and itemsChanges 2 game code files in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

In the last 2 years, 3 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 6 points.
