    About

    LambDynamicLights adds real-time lighting to dark areas by making light sources move with the entities that carry or produce them, so a held torch or a dropped light-emitting item illuminates its surroundings. Light can come from entities holding light-emitting items, burning entities, and naturally luminous creatures and projectiles such as Allays, Blazes, Fireballs, Glow Squids, Magma Cubes, and Spectral Arrows. The mod also supports distinctive effects such as Creepers gradually glowing as they prepare to explode and Guardian lasers casting light, while settings let players adjust how smoothly dynamic lighting updates. Resource packs can define or override lighting for items and entities, including modded content, with conditions that can account for factors such as water sensitivity; developers can also use the API to register custom light behavior and sources.
