Colorful lizards that can recycle your enchanting books.

Book Wyrms adds colorful lizards to forests that turn unwanted enchanted books into new random enchanted books, giving players a way to recycle enchantments. The seven colors have different enchantment pools: gray wyrms can produce any enchantment, while red specialize in melee weapons, orange in ranged weapons, green in tools, blue in armor and shields, teal in fishing rods and tridents, and purple in certain modded items. Wyrms digest books over time, with their enchanting level determining how much magic is needed and the strength of the resulting enchantments, and their digestion speed determining how quickly they work; an Analyzer reveals these traits and their indigestion chance. Indigestion produces shredded-paper boluses and digestive fluids, which can be fed back to recover some of a book’s magic or made into Wyrmutagen to alter a wyrm’s stats or color; changing its color also makes it shed scales. Players can breed wyrms with plain books and raise them for meat and colorful scales, while their offspring can inherit different colors and traits. Modded enchantments can enter the appropriate pools, with examples including Ars Nouveau armor enchantments, Create’s Potato Cannon and Copper Backtank, and items such as Domestication Innovation’s Collar Tag and Alex’s Mobs’ Straddleboard. Several integrations add uses for wyrm materials: Farmer’s Delight supports slicing the meat and cooking stews, Mekanism, Create, Thermal Expansion, and Integrated Dynamics can grind scales into dye, and Botania can cycle scale colors.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 38 items, 1 mob, 90 recipes, 8 loot tables and 7 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
