    Prickle is a JSON-based configuration format and Minecraft library that lets mods use Prickle files for their settings. It preserves JSON syntax and compatibility while wrapping each property value in an object, so metadata can be attached without changing the value itself. Files can include single-line or multiline comments, along with descriptive decorators for defaults, references, valid ranges, regular-expression patterns, and whether empty values are allowed. For mod developers, schema classes and annotations can define configurable fields, add comments and references, include defaults, and validate numeric ranges; adapters can also handle specific or custom types.
