CustomNPC+ expands the original CustomNPC mod into a toolkit for building customized NPCs and interactive RPG or storytelling worlds. NPCs can take roles such as traders, followers, bankers, transporters, postmen, companions, mounts, and auctioneers, while jobs include bard, healer, guard, item giver, spawner, conversation, and chunk loader. Their appearance and movement are highly configurable, with support for full-size skins, wings, fins, capes, horns and tails, hidden body parts, custom models, adjustable hitboxes and tints, and in-game animation editing; flying NPCs can navigate in three dimensions. NPC behavior includes ground, flying, and water pathfinding, door interactions, faction responses, and tactical combat such as ambushes, ranged attacks, dodging, pouncing, and pursuing targets. Branching dialog trees let player choices affect quests and faction standing, while quests can involve collecting items, completing dialogs, defeating targets, or reaching locations, with configurable rewards, cooldowns, tracking, and party sharing. The combat ability system works for both NPCs and players, offering attacks such as slams and energy beams, defenses such as guards and barriers, movement skills including dashes and teleports, and hazards, traps, healing, buffs, and debuffs. A built-in currency and auction system supports player listings, bids, buyouts, trader stock, and Vault integration, while factions, parties, character profiles, and customizable HUD elements provide additional tools for multiplayer RPG progression. The mod also includes many usable weapons, from battle axes, broadswords, daggers, and spears to guns, muskets, and wands, alongside decorative blocks such as banners, campfires, chairs, crystals, lanterns, and mailboxes. For further customization, creators can write Java or JavaScript scripts for NPCs, players, items, blocks, quests, dialogs, and other systems, using script hooks, custom GUIs, overlays, and an in-game code editor. Custom model integrations include GeckoLib-based Blockbench models, Armorer's Workshop skins and equipment, and Dragon Block C abilities, stats, models, and animations; Vault and Pixelmon are also supported for economy and scripting integration.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends your player name
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
Sent to sessionserver.mojang.com.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

More modpacks put it in their new versions than a year ago: 14 a month now, 9 a year agoThe average of the last 6 months, compared with the same 6 months a year before. We say it only when the change is large..
147 modpacks include CustomNPC+ in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. None is for a recent Minecraft version. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
