About
Elton's Wind Meter adds wind-measuring equipment and related weather instruments for ProtoManly's weather, and requires PMWeather to work. Its equipment includes propeller and cup anemometers, heavy-duty versions of both, a handheld anemometer, an anchor-type tornado probe, a wind sock, a metal wind vane, a wind chime, a wind rattle, a small garden wind pump, and wind turbines. Anemometers can send readings over configurable channels to displays, which show wind speed, direction, channel and recorded maximum; displays can also provide redstone output and use colors that change with wind speed. The handheld anemometer measures wind while held and saves its maximum reading, while tornado probes record wind and atmospheric data and can be read remotely with a probe monitor. Several pieces respond to severe weather: strong winds can tear off the wind sock or damage the garden wind pump and turbines, while the wind rattle makes noise that can deter nearby mob spawning and damage mobs.
