    About

    Sodium Extra extends Sodium with configurable visual options, visual fixes, and additional performance controls, bringing many familiar OptiFine-style settings to Sodium. Its settings cover animations such as water, lava, fire, portals, blocks, and sculk sensors, plus particle effects, including particles added by other mods. Other visual controls include the sky, stars, sun and moon, weather, biome and sky colors, beacon beams, enchanting-book rotation, piston animations, and rendering for item frames, armor stands, and paintings. Atmospheric fog options let players adjust its distance, start point, and shape, with separate settings for dimensions and controls over sky and cloud fog. Separate protected fog controls cover blindness, darkness, lava, powder snow, and water; on multiplayer servers they remain vanilla unless the server authorizes them through a Greenlight policy, and players still choose their own settings. Additional options include displaying FPS and coordinates, adjusting cloud height, suppressing selected toast notifications, using instant sneak, preventing vanilla shaders, and controlling debug HUD refresh.
