Emerging Technology is a technical mod that introduces simplified, real-world-inspired ideas from agriculture, renewable energy, materials science, and biology. Its hydroponics system grows crops on water-fed Grow Beds, with growth improved by media such as sand, dirt, gravel, and clay, powered Grow Lights with crop-boosting bulbs, and Harvesters that gather and replant crops. CO2 Scrubbers capture carbon dioxide for use by Diffusers that boost nearby plants, while Nutrient Injectors turn water and fertilizer into growth-promoting Nutrient Fluid. For materials production, Shredders break down crops and plastic items, Processors turn the resulting materials into products such as bioplastic, and Fabricators automate the production of plastic components. Other biological and food systems include Algae Bioreactors that produce biomass or food, Tissue Bioreactors and Scaffolders that grow animal tissue into synthetic meat, and an Aquaponic Tank that uses fish to produce Nutrient Fluid. The mod also adds renewable energy and utility blocks, including solar panels and glass, wind and tidal generators, piezoelectric tiles, batteries, a solar cooker, and a Waste Collector for recovering and recycling ocean plastic. Machines are configurable, and custom fluids, growth media, bulbs, and tissue products can be added; the mod also supports integration with a range of other mods, including OpenComputers.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 57 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
