Extermination brings the War of the Worlds (2005) invasion to Minecraft, turning survival into a fight against towering alien machines and the threats that follow them. After the Invasion event begins, 24-block-tall Tripods rise from the ground amid lightning and screen-shaking effects, then hunt players with block-destroying Heat Rays and toxic gas; they are difficult to damage except with explosions or projectiles, and their legs or a vulnerable spot on the head can also be targeted. As the conflict escalates, the Harvest brings Uberpods, which are tougher, faster-firing Tripods protected by breakable shields, and Tripod Harvesters, which drag nearby targets in with tentacles instead of firing Heat Rays. During Domination, Red Weed spreads faster, and an Emperorpod can emerge when a Tripod or Uberpod dies on Red Weed or Blood Harvest; this red, shielded powerhouse combines rapid Heat Rays, toxic gas, tentacles and the ability to direct other pods toward its target. Martians may appear when Tripods or Uberpods are defeated, while fallen machines can leave mineable bodies that yield useful loot and may reveal a dead Martian. Red Weed can spread where pods kill creatures, and Blood Harvest grows from it; standing on Blood Harvest damages entities. Players can use recovered materials and alien technology to fight back or try to stop the invasion, with items including grenades, a bazooka, missiles, an Alien Scanner, an Alien Decoder and horns that can call an Emperorpod or trigger an event. The Invasion, Harvest and Domination events can unfold over successive in-game days or be started with creative items or gamerules, and gamerules also let players disable alien block damage or control Red Weed and Blood Harvest behavior.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 blocks, 42 items, 5 mobs, 10 other entities, 3 structures, 13 recipes, 13 advancements and 20 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
