A horror modpack filled with scary creatures, places, and surprises.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 354 graded mods, 238 are graded A or B, 68 C and 48 D to F. Its last update came out 10 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Horror Craft Reanimated is a horror-focused modpack that combines a broad range of scary content with balancing intended to keep nights varied rather than dominated by the same threats. Players can encounter horror creatures and supernatural threats such as Slender Man, Herobrine, the Smiler, ghosts, zombies, spiders, and other monsters, alongside bosses and random invasions during blood moons. Exploration brings custom spooky locations and expanded world generation, including haunted houses, abandoned watchtowers, witch huts, underground bunkers and villages, castles, and structures from the Nether and End. The pack also adds new dimensions and regions to explore, including the Sculk Dimension, the Deep Void, the Undergarden, and Alex’s Caves. More than 100 quests, a small set of custom storylines, and an in-game book with information, tips, and recipes provide guidance through the pack’s content. Monsters can drop Blood Bucks, a custom currency, while loot bags, tarot cards, and dropped buffs offer additional rewards; spells, artifacts, weapons, and companions add further ways to prepare for danger. Survival is shaped by mechanics such as sanity loss in darkness, blood moons, nighttime monster activity, and occasional threats that react to the player’s condition or surroundings. Custom music, atmospheric horror sounds, and color-adjusted shader options give the world a distinctively eerie presentation, with red or purple-pink nights and foggy rain among the visual effects.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 26 Dec 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 5 Apr 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 350 of its 355 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of 333 of its 340 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 2 of the 270 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
11 other mods show AI use only from after this release (26 Dec 2025), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
70 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
