About
Hempdustry 2 is a farming and crafting mod centered on growing two hemp strains, Purple Kush and Lemon Haze, which differ in height, growth time, and whether they yield leaves or stems. Wild plants appear in distinct biomes, while seeds can also be found in tall grass and exploration chests; shearing a growing plant twice provides leaves and shifts its eventual harvest toward buds. The crops support a range of practical uses, including hempcrete and hemp bricks, a fire-resistant plank set with doors, boats and other furnishings, and a reversible cloth chain from stems to fibre, canvas, hemp wool and carpet. Canvas and hemp wool can substitute for leather and wool in recipes such as books, item frames, paintings and beds, while the mod also adds a casual outfit made from hemp. For food production, a three-tray Decarboxylator prepares hemp for an optional cauldron rinse and a heated Infuser, which grades batches by strength and quality before dispensing infused butter. That butter is used in edibles including space cookies, brownies, cake, toast, dawamesk and bhang; the mod also adds toasted seeds, seed bars, hemp milk and the Silesian hemp-seed soup siemieniotka. Hemp milk clears status effects and can replace cow's milk in recipes, while infused foods take time to produce their effects and better butter makes their duration longer and their onset less unpredictable. Smoking options include spliffs, wooden pipes and bongs, with device choice affecting duration and the amount of hemp affecting strength; effects pair benefits with drawbacks, and excessive doses can cause nausea or end an existing high. A server setting can disable the status-effect system, leaving the crop, building materials and other crafting features available without it. The mod also includes 24 advancements, six paintings, two original music discs, and recipe pages for JEI and REI that document machine processes and cauldron steps. Its crop varieties and machine recipes use datapack data, allowing pack makers to rebalance them, and its machine outputs can integrate with storage systems such as hoppers and AE2 interfaces.
