About
Knight Quest is an adventure and combat mod built around collecting monster essences, crafting equipment, and challenging a summoned boss. Its weapons have distinctive active and passive powers: the Paladin Sword can grant temporary invulnerability and regenerate health, the Kukri can freeze targets, the Nail enables a dash and double jump, and the Khopesh can reflect attacks and ignite enemies. The Great Chalice is the central progression and crafting block: four Small Essences dropped by vanilla or modded monsters make Great Essence, which fills the Chalice; a filled Chalice can produce a Filled Goblet used to craft most mod items. Radiant Essence used on a full Chalice summons Netherman, the Architect of Chaos, a three-phase boss with abilities including freezing attacks and lava teleportation; defeating it yields Chaotic Essence, which activates weapon abilities. The hostile mobs add varied encounters across the Overworld and Nether: Ratmen can fire poisoned arrows or turn invisible, Gremlins can rage or summon Ghastlings, Eld Knights summon explosive Eld Bombs, and Swampmen shift to throwing their axes when enraged. Other creatures include the light-sensitive Ghosty, the explosive Bad Patch and Eld Bomb, and the half-blind Lizzy, which can drop scales used in crafting. Samhain is a tameable pumpkin companion summoned with a gold block and Jack o'Lantern, then tamed with Great Essence; it can equip armor and items dropped for it and use them to protect its owner. The mod also offers extensive configuration options, including the ability to adjust the probability of Small Essence drops.
