Lights Out is a horror and progression mod that fills Minecraft worlds with nearly 300 creatures, many of them aggressive and inspired by sources including Terraria, Subnautica, SCP, films, and legends. Its creatures inhabit a range of biomes and settings, including the Flesh Pit, Engineer Cave, Autumn Forest, Haunted Hollows, Toxic Wasteland, and the Downside Dimension, alongside themed groups such as insect, ocean, ice, Nether, Heaven, and End mobs. Exploration brings new ores, equipment, weapons, armor, items, and secret tablets, with resources tied to particular places and deeper stages of progression: for example, Bloodnium comes from the Flesh Pit, Soulium from Haunted Hollows, and Shadow Steel from the Downside Dimension. The Downside Dimension is a pitch-black, dangerous realm reached through a portal, with areas such as the Shadow Desert and Mushroom Forest, as well as structures including battle towers, ruined portals, sky islands, and ruins. Nighttime events add sudden threats: Zombie Hordes come in four sizes, Alien Invasions progress through four phases after a Messenger UFO dies, and Horror Night, Halloween, and Blood Horde bring increased or unusual monster spawns. Progression centers on a tutorial boss, nine main bosses, and an End Boss; encounters include King Slime, Mourning Wood, Pumpking, Hand Master, Cryoma, Destroyer, and the Overseer, each summoned through a distinct item. Boss victories can supply materials and rewards that help advance equipment, including Raw Plasmalit from main bosses and Hallowed Ingots from the Overseer.

No harmful code found in the parts we could check
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
One of its files is not checked yet.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
