Locks Reforged adds a flexible locking system for securing blocks throughout the world, including doors, chests, furnaces, dispensers, hoppers, and blocks from other mods; one spatial lock can cover multiple blocks. Locks and lock picks come in seven tiers, from wood through copper, iron, gold, steel, diamond, and netherite, with different strengths and properties, and custom tiers can be added or existing stats adjusted through JSON files, configuration, or datapacks. Players can open a lock with its matching key or pick it through an interactive pin-matching minigame, where higher-tier locks present more pins and mismatched picks wear down according to the lock's pick-wear value. Key rings carry multiple keys, and a master key opens any lock; locks can also be enchanted with effects such as shocking failed pickers, resisting picks, suppressing denial sounds, or opening automatically. Locked blocks can be protected from redstone activation, hopper extraction, piston movement, explosions, and breaking, while configurable world generation places locks on structure chests according to loot value, leaving low-value chests unlocked and reserving stronger locks for richer loot. Lock picks and mechanisms can appear in chest loot, toolsmiths can trade picks and mechanisms, and wandering traders can offer higher-tier picks and enchanted locks. The mod also includes its own steel materials and detects existing steel supplied by other mods, allowing it to avoid redundant ore generation and recipes when a steel source is already present. Optional integrations let the key ring work from a Curios slot, keep locks attached to carried blocks with Carry On, re-lock chests in respawning structures, and treat Lootr double-chest halves as separate lockable blocks.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
locks_reforged-1.4.0.jar, CurseForge locks_reforged-1.4.0.jar. 1 class changed, in melonslise.locks.common.worldgen: LockChestsFeature. We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
