MCG's Questborne adds an RPG quest system to Minecraft, with naturally generated camps where specialist NPCs offer jobs based on familiar vanilla items, mobs, and places. Its five callings are Hunter, Gatherer, Crafter, Explorer, and Merchant: their quests range from fighting mobs and gathering resources to crafting goods, visiting structures or dimensions, taming animals, and delivering supplies. Camps have themed layouts, and quests pay Quest Points, reputation, and experience; each calling tracks reputation separately, unlocking tougher work and better shop stock as you advance. Quest selections and shop items rotate at dawn, with Quest Points spent on calling-specific goods and Bronze, Silver, or Gold mystery crates. At Champion rank, you can hire an NPC and relocate them to your base, where they can continue serving as a quest giver. The mod includes 250 handcrafted quests, supports up to five active quests at once, and lets datapack authors add quests through JSON without writing code.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 4 items, 1 entity, 5 structures, 10 advancements, 5 loot tables, 5 sounds and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
One of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download it from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 2 of its 3 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
