    About

    Modern Life adds contemporary vehicles, household and decorative items, tools, and interactive systems to Minecraft. Travel additions include bicycles and a fuel-powered, four-person motorboat, while paved roads and road markers let players lay out marked routes and increase vehicle speed. For construction and redstone projects, a powered winch pulls blocks along chains, and connected winch anchors can form moving platforms or elevators; a catwalk can serve as a platform for these builds. Players can take digital photographs, print or copy them, and display them alongside paintings they create on an easel and canvas. Other interactive devices include CCTV cameras and a screen for viewing nearby camera feeds, a speedometer, a working mirror, a flashlight, and an alarm clock that shows in-game time. The mod also adds a playable guitar with an optional distortion amplifier, a chess board for play with friends, and a chainsaw for cutting trees. Household and utility additions include a refrigerator that turns water into ice, a microwave and stove for cooking, a seed spreader that plants deposited seeds, a two-person bed, a trash can, a sideways extractor, and a grate that lets fluids, items, and smoke pass while blocking mobs and players. Redstone-powered conveniences include channel-based wireless transmitters and receivers, a turntable that rotates blocks or mobs, and a radiator that gradually clears nearby snow and ice. Crafting for specific items can be disabled through configuration, and survival crafting for the handgun is disabled by default.
