About
Modest Mining expands vanilla mining and tool crafting with new equipment and processing stations, alongside an archaeology focus. It adds tiered javelins that can be thrown and heavy hammers that can crush ores into dust, and zombies and drowned can be configured to spawn with javelins and throw them at targets. The Forge handles shaped and shapeless recipes using fuel, and is used to make tools from ingots and gems; a tiered fuel system determines which recipes different fuels can power. The Millstone uses redstone power to crush items, with one input slot and nine output slots. The mod also adds material-processing changes: coal chunks smelt one item each, amethyst can be compacted into storage blocks and its shards serve as nuggets, diamonds gain shards, and smelted rotten flesh becomes a leather substitute.
