    About

    Mods Optimizer helps modpack creators and server owners keep a single mod collection usable across client and server, while reducing side mismatches, duplicate files, and version conflicts. At startup, it scans mod files, classifies them as client-only, server-only, or shared using their metadata and a built-in classification database, then renames client-only mods on servers and removes outdated duplicate versions. The mod can use metadata from formats including mods.toml, fabric.mod.json, quilt.mod.json, and manifest files, and its classification database can be supplemented with user overrides for individual mods. It modifies files in the mods folder, so the project recommends keeping backups before use.
