Survive a zombie apocalypse with guns, vehicles, and custom cities.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 290 graded mods, 215 are graded A or B, 65 C and 10 D to F. Its last update came out 13 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
ChaosZProject is a large, performance-focused modpack for zombie-apocalypse survival, combining a curated collection of about 300 mods with custom-built city environments. Players can explore Lost Cities and Wilderness world types, with varied biomes and unique structures, while searching for starter kits and powerful loot. Survival and combat additions include guns, vehicles, new zombies, and a revive system; the pack’s overview also highlights cars, planes, and nukes. An expansive quest system is designed to help players learn through play, and the pack comes with its options preconfigured. Visual and environmental changes include configured shader options, aurora effects, realistic torches and storms, and dramatic seasons that prevent crops from growing out of season. The pack also adjusts farming and food content, including crop spawns and biomes for Croptopia and Farmer’s Delight, alongside changes to cooking and combat behavior.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 15 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 14 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 288 of its 293 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 280 of its 284 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 14 of the 240 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
44 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
