About
Much More Spiders Reborn expands Minecraft’s hostile spider encounters with biome-themed spiders that have their own combat stats and abilities, making nighttime travel across the Overworld and encounters in the Nether and End more dangerous. Its roster spans forest, jungle, desert, cactus, snow, swamp, hill, oak, birch, and acacia spiders, alongside Nether, Ender, Blaze, Slime, Pumpkin, Redstone, Magma, Aquatic, Shell, Witch, Wither, and Sapper spiders; most appear in particular biomes, while some variants can spawn across broad areas. Their attacks and defenses vary: Forest and Jungle spiders poison targets, Desert spiders inflict hunger and nausea, Cactus spiders reflect melee damage, Snow spiders slow enemies and leave a snow trail, and Ender spiders teleport. Other encounters include fire-resistant spiders that ignite opponents, Slime spiders that split into smaller spiders when killed, Witch spiders that fire potion barrages and regenerate, and Wither spiders that inflict Wither and shoot skulls. The Aquatic Spider changes form by setting: it grows stronger in water, gains power against End mobs in the End, and becomes fire-resistant and more damaging in the Nether; it also extinguishes nearby fire and regenerates faster after returning to its original form. The Shell Spider stays in an armored, explosion-immune shell until a living creature comes within a few blocks, then unfolds to attack. The mod also adds new jockeys, and its spider-themed items include special spider eyes, a Mob Aggressor for provoking fights between mobs, and Meat Man targets that attract mobs; the Meat Man variants can take up to 400 damage, with the Cactus version reflecting attacks.
